Well what can I say about the TZR rentaracer experience…

I turned up Friday morning to be greeted by the club members who were very helpful and raring to go.
I was introduced to the bike and as I had no idea about two strokes was a quick learning curve.
The team were superb all weekend and I was treated like rossi and the bike was looked after by all the club members all weekend and I could not of been more welcome.

I left the race weekend with a large smile and I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the bike so much I am looking to purchase a bike over the winter period.

What an absolutely fabulous weekend on the ypmrc club bike, for me a weekend of firsts, first time racing, first time on race rubber, first time on wets, first time getting my knee down and first time sliding out of paddock on my back, front, side, arse and head. I can’t thank the legend that is Len Whalin enough for all his advice, patience, friendliness and rebuilding the bike and getting me straight back out to achieve my best result, and running me into town yesterday to get a new key for my van when i snapped it in the ignition. A truly memorable weekend, I will be back, this time on my RD350 YPVS. Also thank you Doug for getting me through my license in horrible conditions and to Scott for the tuition and getting me to move around on the bike .

See you all later in the season.

Thank you YPMRC you have some truly wonderful people in your club.

It’s an excellent way into racing, just being able to turn up and ride means you can concentrate on the racing while still getting to know how a weekend is run and it’s better than a works ride because Kev even cooks for you if you’re hungry.
Unfortunately, I did have an off in race 3 that made me feel guilty with all the hard work the Kev and the YPMers put in, but it definitely didn’t put me off – I bought a bike and was back on the grid for the final race weekend. Brilliant experience and I can’t believe that any other paddock could be as friendly or helpful.
