New 2010 competition: YPM Clubman Cup

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

There will be a new competition on the Yamaha Past Masters scene in 2010, with the arrival of the YPM Clubman Cup. It’s for riders who are no longer rookies and aren’t ACU National licence holders. If you haven’t qualified for your National licence by the end of the 2009 season then you’re eligible for the Clubman Cup.

Riders who qualify for their National licence but haven’t applied for it will not be eligible for the YPM Clubman Cup. The scoring will be similar to the YPM Rookie championship, with the first eligible rider to finish taking 25 points, down to one point for the 15th eligible rider to finish.

The first seven rounds of 2010 will be Clubman Cup rounds, giving the club a chance to arrange trophies for presentation at the final round of the season. The competition replaces the TZR Tour and Steelie Tour competitions, as there appears to be little appetite for a competition held at selected rounds rather than over the course of a full season.
